If you’re like me, you like a nice cocktail at a reasonable price! We all know this can be super difficult to find in New York City! Thankfully I’ve done some research for you and have found some of the best happy hours around NYC! And they aren’t just well drinks and beer either, a lot of these places offer legit cocktails at a cheaper price!
UPTOWN happy hours
Many people don’t make their way uptown very often unless they have a reason to, but that’s a huge mistake! There are so many amazing local spots uptown, specifically in the Hamilton Heights area! Here are some of my favorites..
Harlem Wine Room– Happy Hour from 4 to 7 on wine and food. They also have live music every day!
67 Orange Street – Monday to Friday from 5 to 7, $10 cocktails. Good cocktails too, not a gin and tonic! haha
Geisha Sushi – The drinks here are strong and a great deal for happy hour. You can get $5 cocktails, $4 wine and $3 beer from 4 to 8 on weekdays and ALL DAY on the weekends!! Plus the food is on happy hour too so basically just go here for dinner.
Harlem Public – They have a drink of the day for $7 and it’s usually a creation of their own and its always so good! Even if you don’t get a drink go for the amazing food! I’m talking Doritos quesadilla and peanut butter burgers!
At the Wallace – Ok so they don’t actually have a happy hour, but the drinks are already cheap so it’s like every hour is happy hour! Plus, it’s right next door to Harlem Public (they are sister bars) so you can just hop on over!
MIDTOWN happy hours
Midtown is known to be the most expensive part of Manhattan and often tourists don’t venture out far enough from times square to find a meal that isn’t $30. So walk a few blocks and you’ll find these gems!
230 Fifth Rooftop – It’s pretty hard to find a decent rooftop happy hour, but 230 fifth is the exception! Happy hour is M-F from 4-7 and no drink is over $10. Frosé in the summer or a boozy hot chocolate in the winter are two of my favorites on the menu!
Briciola – This cute wine bar offers $6 spritz’ M-F from 4-7. They also do an awesome lunch special of a pasta and glass of wine for $18!
Strange Love – Take a pit stop at this dive bar and get a beer and a shot for $3. Next door you’ll find insomnia cookies, perfect combo.
Rancho Tequileria – Margaritas with chips and salsa might be my favorite way to spend an afternoon. Here you can get 12 oz margaritas for $11 and they are strongggg. Daily from 12 to 7.
Taco Dumbo – M-F from 3-7. At first, I was excited about the $6 frozen margaritas, but then I realized they have mini tacos!! These bite-size tacos are the perfect snack while you sip! There are multiple locations so check their site for details! I like the one on 5th ave and 52nd for the cute decor!
Reunion Surf Bar – I like this bar because it’s surf and beach themed (obviously). They have happy hour every day on certain drinks and food. My favorite is the Paloma!
EAST VILLAGE happy hours
I could spend a whole day just bar hopping in the East Village. Here are some of the happy hours that make that possible!
Ten Degrees Bar – Daily until 8 pm, BOGO on ANY drink! If that’s not a great deal, I don’t know what is!
Poco – This spot has a ton of daily deals and events like Tuesday trivia or Thursday $6 margaritas. Check the site for the whole rundown. For happy hour they do deals on certain foods for $6, $3 off of wine, $4 off of cocktails and $5 beers. Tuesday – Friday 5 to 8 and Sunday 6:30 to 8!
Holiday Cocktail Lounge – Deals on booze and snacks Friday to Sunday from 4 to 8!
greenwich village happy hours
My favorite area in NYC that has so many amazing bars and restaurants that are all so unique!
Marie’s Crisis Cafe – Possibly my favorite spot on this list is Marie’s Crisis. If you’re a theater lover then this place is a must. All night you can sing show tunes with a live pianist while sipping on $3 drinks during happy hour!
Amelie Wine Bar – So I had seen that they had wine flights here and immediately wanted to go! What I assumed to be a few tasters ended up being a flight of 3 full pours for $16. It’s a great deal! We didn’t eat, but I have heard the food is great too!
